2017-2019 AoIR Executive Committee – Incoming Open Seat

Who are you? Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I was born somewhere in the center-north part of Italy and I studied – and started my academic career – at the University of Urbino. Since 2013 I moved to the IT University of Copenhagen, when I’m actually associate professor in digital media and communication.

What is your AoIR Executive Committee position?
Open Seat, I guessed that was the best way to start.

What motivated you to serve on the Executive Committee for AoIR?
AoIR is the only academic association that feels like home. It makes perfect sense to take turns into helping it evolving into something even better.

How long have you been involved with AoIR? How many conferences have you attended?
My first IR conference was in 2008 – almost 10 years ago!- IR 9.0 – Rethinking Communities, Rethinking Place, here in Copenhagen.

What is/are your current research interests?
Currently working on developing network analysis methods to study participation and activism.
