In 2006 AoIR commenced publication of a biannual online newsletter that provides a more traditional communication for members and interested parties outside the Association. The newsletter was first conceived by Kate O’Riordan and approved by the Executive. The current editorial committee is:

| AOIR's conferences are true oases for scholars looking for serious discussion of topics too new for many university catalogues. Equally vital is the listserv run by AOIR, which creates a year-round network of scholarly exchange, without which this book would have been the poorer. |
